Xerox 6204 Wideformat Unable to Copy/Scan/Print after resetting settings
Xerox 6204 Wideformat Unable to Copy/Scan/Print after resetting settings
Hello Everyone!!
I am trying to figure out how to come out of this hole with my Xerox 6204. While trying to troubleshoot an issue with the copier, I ended up resetting the settings for it using the service mode (I know I should have backed up everything but I didn't ). The issue that's happening now is that when we attempt to make a copy or scan, the "feeder" doesn't pull the paper and becomes ready for copy/scan. Before I restored the settings it used to be able to operate normally just had a copy quality issue. I am still able to print using the website for the copier and the quality prints from service mode. I am assuming some values may have been erased or not restored properly. anyone has an idea on how to find all the values and what they should be? or what this issue could be?

It is with BPS print server or AccXes controller?
What was the procedure for resetting the machine?
Hello! it is with BPS Print server. I basically logged into service mode, and loaded settings from Hard Drive for all options available. and downloaded program from Panel as well.

Sorry I did not understood. DC361 is the only one routine you can load settings from diagnostic mode.
But you say you did not save anything before reset. What was the routine number you used to reset machine?
What program was downloaded from Panel?

Hello Sorry if I am not too clear. I am not very familiar with this copier but there are no technicians available in my country that can service this copier model.
What I did specifically is the following:
1. Log into service mode
Here I have multiple options: UI, IIT, CP-CONT, IOT, SYSTEM, PANEL DATA DOWNLOAD, END.
I went into each of these options and used the "System Data Save/Restore" option and used the "Restore (HDD)" option
When I went to PANEL DATA DOWNLOAD it has the following options:

Select MACHINE STATUS button from control panel then SOFTWARE VERSION from MACHINE INFO tab.
Make photo of the screen. Then go to diagnostic mode , choose dc108 make photo of display.
Same for dc120 and dc122. Post photos here or send them to stoadis@gmail.com.
Machine was new when you buying it?
It is strange to restore data when you dont save anything.

The copies was bought new a very long time ago. We've owned this copier for more than 10 years. We've done most of the maintenance ourselves. I believe the issue lies in the values of the registers for the machine. they probably got restored to the wrong values. I am attaching here the pictures you asked. Do you know if there is any book that contains the values of each register? I know a lot of copiers come with a small card on the doors with all the values for when you do a restore or memory clear.
Re: Xerox 6204 Wideformat Unable to Copy/Scan/Print after resetting settings
Sorry but the photos are too small. I do not see anything. Dc 120 photo is show error code. What is that code?
If machine was new inside the door pocket is or was a list with nvm ( non volatile memory ) values.
Perhaps this is you name registers.

I was able to fix the issue by using the function DC131 and selected ITT/IPS All System Data Initialize. this allowed me to print, copy and scan again! The error code you saw was a paper jam at the original feeder (it was caused by us trying to feed the original when it wasn't pulling the paper. I am back to facing the image quality issue and trying to solve that. I'll try to find those values hopefully they weren't lost. is it a document/list? I see a black sticker in there as well but it doesn't look like any NVM values.
Re: Xerox 6204 Wideformat Unable to Copy/Scan/Print after resetting settings
If the machine was new then the list of nvm was there.
You can save the actual values of nvm using dc361 from diagnostic mode.
You can save it on internal hdd or usb stick. Because machine is so old use old usb stick 256MB-1GB.
Re: Xerox 6204 Wideformat Unable to Copy/Scan/Print after resetting settings
What have you done to fix print quality problem?
Clean or replace BCR
Check developer, mag roll and btr.
If you have cq problem evry 251mm then you have problem with drum.
Print quality can not be fixed by NVM values.

We have a problem with very low density (Almost blank) columns every 80 mm. According to troubleshooting manual, it may be related to Mag roll, however we've already tried replacing pretty much everything we can think off (Drum, mag roll, developer unit) According to the manual it may be related to Xerographic calibration.

also yes, we have replaced BTR and BCR. no luck so far....
Re: Xerox 6204 Wideformat Unable to Copy/Scan/Print after resetting settings
You can not resolve banding problem with calibration.
You have uneven toner transfer from developer assy to drum.
If I can see well on pic you also have darker band on print.
If that distance is about 251mm then you also have problem with drum.
If you replaced mag roll then check bias connection on developer assy
A favorite resort of the foreign residents of Yokohama during the summer months is the island of Enoshima. It is about twenty miles away, and is a noted place of pilgrimage for the Japanese, on account of certain shrines that are reputed to have a sacred character. Doctor Bronson arranged that his party should pay a visit to this island, as it was an interesting spot, and they could have a glimpse of Japanese life in the rural districts, and among the fishermen of the coast. "But as we are in for it," he continued, "we must make the best of the situation, and hope to go through in safety. Many a strong ship lies at the bottom of the sea, where she was sent by just such a storm as we are about to pass through, and many another has barely escaped. I was once on a ship in the China seas, when the captain told the passengers that it would be a miracle if we remained half an hour longer afloat. But hardly had he done speaking when the wind fell, the storm abated, and we were safe. The typhoon is to these waters what the hurricane is to the West Indies; it is liable to blow at any time between April and September, and is often fearfully destructive. OPIUM-PIPE. OPIUM-PIPE. "Surely your ladyship knows Dr. Bruce!" Hetty said with a vivid splash of colour on either cheek "A little time ago I understood that Dr. Bruce----" "I require that everywhere a strict investigation shall take place into the conduct of the soldiers with regard to the life and property of the civilian population. "Where were they buried?" They all pressed forward. "Count out. That's the only fair way," shouted the boys in the center. "Now, there's three loaves o' bread for the Sargint," said Harry, laying them down on a newspaper. "There's three for the Corpril; there's three for me; there's three for you." "'T?un't peas, thick 'un," Vennal would break in uproariously, "it's turnips—each of 'em got a root like my fist." At this moment of perplexity, some medicine, that she had obtained from Edith, occurred to her, and, with a feeling of confidence, and almost of extacy, she took a phial from a shelf in a cupboard where she had placed it, and, pouring out the contents in a large spoon, hesitated an instant ere she administered it. "Let me see," said she; "surely it was a large spoonful Edith told me to give—yet all that was in the phial doesn't fill the spoon. Surely I can't be wrong: no—I remember she said a large spoonful, and we didn't talk of any thing else—so I must be right." But Mary still hesitated, till, hearing a sudden noise in the court-yard, which, she conjectured, was her mistress returned, and as the child was getting worse every moment, she leaned back its head, and, forcing open its mouth, compelled the patient, though with difficulty, to swallow its death. The draught was taken; the rigid muscles relaxed, and for a minute the child lay motionless in her lap; but in an instant after, Mary could scarcely suppress a shriek at the horrid sight that met her gaze. The eyes opened, and glared, and seemed as if starting from the head—the fair face and the red lips, were blue, deepening and deepening, till settling in blackness—the limbs contracted—the mouth opened, and displayed a tongue discoloured and swollen—then came a writhing and heaving of the body, and a low, agonized moan: and, as Mary looked almost frantic at this dreadful sight, Edith's words, when she had given her the phial, "that there was enough there to kill," suddenly occurred to her—and then, too, came, with a dreadful distinctness, the remembrance of the true directions which Edith had given. It was nearly noon the next day, when the under-sheriff entered the room to ask if their opinions were yet unanimous. The galleyman still refused. "That for ye, coward," said Tyler, striking him with the flat side of his bared weapon. Oakley aimed another thrust which was again turned aside, and the smith, now flinging down his sword, seized upon his right hand and wrenched the dagger from its grasp. After a short struggle, Oakley fell heavily on the pavement with the blood streaming from his mouth and nostrils. HoME萝拉泷泽第4部资源
