C2111 error looks to be pointing at CMY developer unit drive. I removed all the drums and dev units. All dev units turn easy by hand. Reinstalled everything. Updated firmware. Same code.
Removed left side cover to watch motors spin at boot up and dev drive motor not even trying to spin. Reseated connectors on Engine connect board. Same error.
Called Kyocera and they said that was an unusual code for this model they had next to nothing to suggest other than possibly engine connect board bad.
Going back out to machine tomorrow with board from another machine to hopefully fix this issue as it's the only front desk printer/fax machine they have.
Anybody run into these codes before on that M6635cidn model?
Motor failure is unusual but I’ve had one or two fail over the years. The motors themselves are common items and often within the machine there may be two the same that can be swapped for fault finding purposes. Probably not worth the effort on a machine like this though. If I was going to have a guess, I’d go with the main board

Why not bring it in the shop to really dig in & try different things? If it isn't working, its no good to the customer... grab that thing & take it in the shop for easier trouble shooting. I am interested in what this cause is.
That’s what I did. Loaner put in place for them to use.
Now waiting for the Engine connector board to arrive. Kyocera shipping is so slow right now. I’ll def update when I get this figured out.
So, did you try the engine board that you said about & it worked & now you're ordering an engine board from Kyocera or are you hoping it is the engine board? Curious
