Hi,
I am experiencing a very strange problem. Paper is jamming in the 2nd transfer/ registeration section not entering the fuser unit but this only happens if multiple pages command is given. For single demo page it prints. But counter page or single black and white configuration page it jams in the registration.
JAM CODE IS 30-03. I can see first page is not yet entered the fuser and tge 2nd page activates the registration sensor. Paper jams in the exact same position.

There was an error code c3102. I replaced fuser drive assembly from another machine now the error is resolved but paper is jamming. I wonder why one paper comes out and multiple pages command get stuck.
when single pages are output jam timing is much more forgiving, three tries before jam code , multi page or 2 sided things tighten up as there are multiple sheets in the path .
If you are getting 30-03 codes it is definitely CL-8 fuser exit clutch. Have replaced at least 50 of these on the 4 series. See attached easy way to replace.

The problem is I have replaced two different fuser drives but the paper is jamming at the exact location which means its not about the clutch.
I have replaced regiseration unit also. Transport motor. Tray feeding unit. PRCB, power supply unit.
If transfer roller is removed it works fine. I have replaced transfer roller and the ITB unit.
There is a color registration problem also in the same machine. Paper jamming and the color registration both are giving us hard time to diagnose.
Laser unit, ph board, fr board, reg unit, ITB unit all are replaced but color reg problem is not fixed.
updated the firmware, initialized the machine.

If the jam code happened after you got rid of the error code you need to go back to what you did and make sure everything is plugged up an no wire is pinched or broken.
